In a Very Special Episode of The Cantaloupe Cats, we are joined by veteran character actor and all around cool cat Kevin Corrigan! When we reached out to ask him if he'd like to come on the pod he said he wanted to talk about The Exorcist films. It was the perfect excuse to sit down and dig into this classic but troubled film franchise (I had never seen 2 or 3). I didn't know Kevin Corrigan was in Exorcist 3, and he regails us with tales from the set, ancedotes about Martin Scorcese, and WIlliam Blatty, and all sorts of other trivia and experiences he has had as an actor. Spoilers for: The Exorcist 1-3, Poltergeist, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Child's Play & Mean Streets.

The Cantaloupe Cats turn the key and unleash nihilistic doom on an unsuspecting public, with their HEAVY SPOILER deep dive into The Monkey, a 2025 Horror Comedy by Oz Perkins. As per usual, two fake commercials were created especially for this episode, to inject a little of our own horror comedy into the proceedings. Both John and Tom are super well versed in Stephen King lore so the conversation covers a lot of ground. SPOILERS for: The Final Destination Series, Six Feet Under, Longlegs, The Monkey, various Stephen King books and movies etc.
I was eating popcorn during the episode so every once in a while my voice sounds different.

The Cantaloupe Cats succumb to the darkness with a deep dive into Nosferatu. Special Guest Matthew Milligan came ready to play, having just watched Werner Herzog's classic 1979 Nosferatu the Vampyre as well as seeing Robert Egger's new film with his whole family (Tom Milligan and Matthew Milligan are brothers). Matthew Milligan is a co-host of the Weird Al-gorithm Podcast, the bass player for Wheatus (Teenage Dirtbag) and Late Cambrian & John Wlaysewski's partner in crime for experimental musical collective, Fashion Bird Danger Danger. This is a wide ranging conversation with HEAVY SPOILERS for all Nosferatu's, The Northerman, The Lighthouse, The Witch, Let The Right One In, What We Do in the Shadows, SpongeBob, and numerous other films that come up naturally in conversation. We all had differing opinions on Nosferatu 2024, but art is subjective and we love each other. As is tradition, Matt, Tom & John each submitted fake commercials for the podcast. You will hear them as you listen to the conversation! Correction: The Northman was released by Focus Features (not Neon)
